Monday, February 27, 2006. Contentment and Happiness Yoga Sutra 2:42. From Santosa or Contentment (santosaat); (there is) acquisition (laabhah) of unsurpassed (anuttama) happiness (sukhá). While we cannot be content with practicing only one yama or niyama out of the ten, this is a comforting verse. I am not sure that the chapter and verse are correct, because the website is hard to read. The translation and transliteration are from. Posted by yogasutranyc at 9:43 AM. Bhagavad Gita III.18. New York Fitness Buffet. Helping New Yorkers wade through the fitness landscape. Saturday, September 13, 2008. Forget the Giants vs Redskins Kick off. Have your own Fitness Kickoff. Ok, the title of this entry was inspired by my viewing my first EVER football kickoff game when my gym buddy Amanda asked me if I wanted see the game with her at a sports bar. It was my first ever. After some deliberations, I decided to hit the very cosmopolitan and international Montreal. A wellness center located within a 1...

New York Fitness Buffet. Helping New Yorkers wade through the fitness landscape. Sunday, April 27, 2008. My alarm clock didn't go off. Ok, I know weekends are supposed to be for chilling, but I had every intention of hitting a 9:45 spin class, doing Pilates and heading to a meditation. So, what happened? I forgot to set my alarm! I thought I did. Did I turn it off, go back to bed and forget? And today’s event was Chakra Loop Breath with Live Drumming. At the pretty attune wellness and yoga. When I found ...

Running From 30: March 2010
http://runfrom30.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 2 March 2010. One run or one cookie? Yesterday's Well column in the NYTimes. I enjoy being the first one in the office in the morning. I like the quiet, and the (admittedly overly self-righteous) ability to roll my eyes at yet another email from a colleague saying s/he is running late. That used to be me, and I love that it isn't anymore. And exercise is the thing that makes it possible. Marchathon: 2 for 2. Links to this post. The good: Yoga Sutra. Links to this post.
