Too much wine in rural Japan …. Daring Bakers’ Challenge. Daring Bakers’ Challenge. My name is Katy and I’m a Daring Baker. I eagerly await the Daring Bar Tender but until then I will set forth on the almost unknown world of baking and bring forthwith treats and goodies once a month. Join me – if you dare. And if not, while shite, can you at least go and walk round the block a few times on my behalf while I sit here and stuff my face with donuts. 8220;In November 2006, Lisa of La Mia Cucina. Once Upon a Tanbo. Password and Protected Posts. Archive for March 2011. On: March 15, 2011. As most of us know, there was a huge earthquake followed by tsunami that mauled northern Japan last week. Watching the wreckage and death/missing numbers on tv has been heartbreaking. There have also been concerns about a nuclear power plant apprx. 150 miles away from where we live in Fukushima. Anyways. that is what is going on. Now we just have to survive the flight…. NOT going to be fun I imagine.

Jackie's Japan Journal: Weather
http://jackiesjapanjournal.blogspot.com/2015/07/weather.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2015. I can't believe the weather this year. It is so wet! We have had so many rainy days recently and only a few really hot days. One problem is once the rain stops, everything warms up and it becomes so humid. On Sunday we had an incredible thunder storm. I do not like thunder storms. I've had too many close calls. As soon as I hear thunder I pull the TV antenna and the electric plug! This past Sunday the storm was right over head. I am sure something near by got hit!
