Sunday, May 19, 2013. Heber Valley POLAR EXPRESS. For their Christmas gift to the family this year, Grandma and Grandpa gave us each a pass to the "Polar Express" on the Heber Creeper. It's been a life-long goal for my mom to go on it, so she finally made it happen. And she took us with her to share the ride! Imagine Christmas music playing loudly on the speakers, as you view the pics). Santa's elves came by, bringing hot chocolate, cookies, and stories of the North Pole. Or to use as earrings! Living the Dream: April 2012
http://paulandjenthatcher.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 24, 2012. We are so happy to have this little gift from heaven. She has already brought so much happiness to our family. Here's her story:. Baby girl #4 on the way. Oh, the beauty of a planned induction! Before leaving to the hospital, I had my hair and make-up done, a clean house, bags packed, and Grandma here ready to take over with the girls. I've decided that for us, this is the way to go! Paul was such a great support the entire time. I'm so glad we are in this together. Who knows if ...

Living the Dream: February 2012

Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Millie Cuts Some Bangs. Millie and Grace were downstairs alone for just a couple minutes, when Millie came up the stairs holding a handful of her long blond hair. I panicked! She would have bangs again! I wanted to take a picture, but didn't want to encourage their behavior. So I managed to get one a little later, of the rubber glove balloons they had decorated. I keep finding her in front of the mirror, admiring her new look. What a girl! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Living the Dream: Claire's Joyschool Graduation
http://paulandjenthatcher.blogspot.com/2014/02/claires-joyschool-graduation.html
Sunday, February 2, 2014. The year of Joyschool with Claire's friends was a huge success. I was always impressed with the fun things the other moms did. And the group of kids all got along great. Our last day, we prepared for a graduation celebration! We made graduation caps, and at the end, the moms all came for an informal ceremony where they recited the ABCs and sang a couple songs. And of course, there were treats! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Millie - 6 Years Old. Grace - 5 Years Old.

Living the Dream: December 2011
http://paulandjenthatcher.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 28, 2011. It was great to be with family at the Clubhouse. The food was delicious. The girls had fun making their annual apple candy turkeys and of course, they loved eating them! We had lots of good food and time to sit around and talk. The men went out to try to catch and shoot a turkey.(well, not really, but they did get out to shoot at some fake birds). According to Carly, it's one too many! We went to a dreidel-painting class. And the balls were a ton of fun. This year we bought ...

Living the Dream: April 2013
http://paulandjenthatcher.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 1, 2013. Does it seem obvious that we shouldn't leave our little girls with haircutting scissors nearby? Why do I have to learn this lesson the hard way? Claire was pretty proud of herself, with no regrets, as you can see in the second picture. I know it could have been worse. But with her straight hair, we are at a loss with a big chunky layer that looks way out of place. Luckily curls cover it up pretty well. I can't bare to cut her hair short yet! Living the Dream: Millie's Ballet Recital "Alice in Wonderland"
http://paulandjenthatcher.blogspot.com/2014/01/millies-ballet-recital-alice-in.html
Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Millie's Ballet Recital "Alice in Wonderland". We were so proud of Millie for doing a great job in her first ballet recital. She and Caysja's class were flowers of some sort (was it snap dragons? The flower bouquet at the end was a must! And we got one picture of Ellie Peters, our dear friend who hurt her arm and had a cast for the recital. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Millie - 6 Years Old. Grace - 5 Years Old. Living the Dream: August 2012

Thursday, August 16, 2012. Looking Back over the Bishoping Years. After 5 years of serving as the bishop, Paul was released in June. I don't have the words to fully describe our experience, but I want to share a few thoughts (I think it will help me gain some closure). And I realize that his. Experiences as bishop would be far more interesting to hear about than mine, but he's not the blogger. So you'll have to settle for the perspective of a bishop's wife. I realized Paul had limitations, so I became le...

Living the Dream: Grace's First Lost Tooth
http://paulandjenthatcher.blogspot.com/2014/01/graces-first-lost-tooth.html
Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Grace's First Lost Tooth. An excerpt from Mommy's journal on April 4th, 2013). Grace lost her first tooth today! I don’t know if I can say she was brave, though. But faithful, yes! She was SO scared about it. It’s been really loose for a couple days, but she wouldn’t let us pull it. She explained to someone, “I’m just not comfortable right now losing my tooth! Her new tooth is already coming in. And just to consolidate, I'm going to post about her second tooth as well. This...

Living the Dream: October 2011

Sunday, October 23, 2011. Our Best "Treasure Hunt" Ever. We had a very memorable treasure hunt with our girls a couple weeks ago. They went to the first clue and found this. The second had this. This was the third. And last, but not least. Still, they didn't get it. So we set it all out (asking all the while, "why was there a diaper, and bottle, etc? And helped them sound out all the words. Finally they got it! Millie had a big smile and asked, "Is it TRUE? She was ecstatic about the news! One blessed mo...
