So much for the exploding powerhouse, Knut did quite a few of the hardest problems without too much difficulty, he's a lot taller than me though (he says with bottom lip stuck out). He also tried a project at Iglekjøn, got quite close but Cato got closer. I got nowhere, I'm blaming lack of hieght and that's that. Posted by Chris Hamper at 8:39 PM. Monday, July 17, 2006. Anyway, even though I hate football I will still watch England play in the world cup and the fact that they never get very far is fine by me. Posted by Chris Hamper at 10:33 PM. Monday, May 29, 2006. How did they know that? Has someone compared their taste to the taste of the real thing? Do they employ a worm taster? Do they employ someone who tries everything?

http://chrishamper.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 30, 2006. Another day bouldering, quite warm but nice wind. Some of the more damp spots are now starting to dry out Igelkjøn is one of those. Back to the boulder; did a problem of "Bachen's" (7b) couldn't touch it last year. He heal hooked it I, with my increased power and reduced flexibility, powered it without the heel. Also did some old cløasics like the one in the pic. Almost all problems on this boulder are 7a this is no exception. Posted by Chris Hamper at 5:01 PM. It's a very nice sp...

Friday, September 29, 2006. Recipe for 10 year fried Fish. 1 Move to Norway and buy second hand fly rod, practice lots of casting on dry land before tying on a fly. 2 Buy books on fly tying and learn to tie your own fly, this takes ages and you will soon find yourself spending more time tying flies than fishing. You will also spend loads of money buying every type of feather. 3 Continue trying to tie a flie that looks like the one in the book. 6 Catch your first fish on fly, a small trout. Posted by Chri...

Sunday, January 21, 2007. Haven't blogged for a while, why's that? On the subject of B's I ticked another B on friday, I broke a bone. Slipped on the ice going to work and snapped my ankle. 2 weeks off work and 6 week in plaster. Hmm. Maybe I'll have time to blog again. Oh, another thing. I lost the cable connecting my phone to the computer so can't upload pics. Posted by Chris Hamper at 2:41 PM. Flekke, Fjaler, Norway. View my complete profile. My IB Physics Pages. Saturday, July 28, 2007. Here's a late entry from this years staff show. It's me trying to dance, a comedy item of course. Inspired by the "evolution of dance" on you tube and many dances at RCNUWC. It's not the whole thing but you get the idea. Posted by Chris Hamper at 6:09 PM. One of the highlights of this summer was going to the Metallica concert in Oslo. Pretty good concert but managed not to stick my fingers in the air. Posted by Chris Hamper at 2:20 PM. Thursday, July 26, 2007. I am a physics teac...

Chris Hamper: April 2007
http://chrishamper.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 20, 2007. First post for a long time. Just a quick post to keep this alive, or revive it from the dead? Have been doing a lot of work on the book which is to be published by Heineman in december by the way. Managed to write about 200 pages of 1st draft whilst I was off sick with the ankle. Haven't climbed or trained for ages, can't get motivated since my ankle still hurts so I know I'd be crap. Posted by Chris Hamper at 5:23 PM. Flekke, Fjaler, Norway. View my complete profile.

http://chrishamper.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Did the last of the "big three" at Raudbua last night, feet popped off and I pulled a muscle in my shoulder. Hopefully get to myggvegggen before the end of the season. Went on the moonboard on monday, feeling strong but it is soooo hot in there. Just got back from a very pleasant evening visiting some of my advisees "at home". It's my new term resolution to visit my advisees more often, don't want people to think I only communicate online. Posted by Chris Hamper at 6:45 PM.

Chris Hamper: December 2006
http://chrishamper.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 17, 2006. Just got back from a weeks climbing in Spain. I see there are a few commets on my last post. Looks like I'm going to have to expand a bit. But first I'm going to get some sleep. The thing that gets me most is the way that some peoples opinion swing with the tide. At the begiinning of term the whole idea did not get much support. When it worked fine suddenly people think it's a good idea. So, things can't continue as they were. So it's up to the students. It's like a kid has jus...
