Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Si on désire découvrir un tantinet l'est ontarien quand on se dirige vers Ottawa, il est mieux d'utiliser la route 17 au lieu de l'autoroute 417. C'est ainsi que j'ai découvert la cantine Kenebec. Dans la charmante municipalité d'Alfred. Établi depuis 1957, ce restaurant figé dans le temps offre un menu de cantine avec des produits frais et locaux. Pour mon repas, j'ai choisi le Stan burger. Avec mon burger, j'avais pris une poutine. Thursday, May 8, 2014. Une journée où j'étais perdu sur le bord de la rivière Richelieu (plus précisément à Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu), j'en ai profité pour casser la croûte à la cantine Marie-L'Eau. C'est un bel endroit où l'on peut manger à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur mais toujours avec une belle vue sur la rivière Richelieu et de la nature environnante. Les gens peuvent aussi accoster leur bateau au quai voisinant la cantine. Une bonne poutine fait avec des ingrédients frais mais sans plus.

Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Un beau dimanche matin sur la rue Bernard à Montréal, la petite famille et moi cherchions un endroit pour bruncher. Nous avons fini par aboutir au Café Local. L'intérieur du restaurant est très intéressant avec ses beaux murs de briques et son mobilier en bois. C'est très chaleureux et lumineux comme endroit. Étant à mi-chemin entre le déjeuner et le dîner, j'ai accepté que mon fils mange une poutine pour combler sa fringale. Du même coup, ça me donnait l'occasion d'y goûter.

J'ai eu la chance de recevoir une invitation à venir essayer l'un de leurs sandwichs. Ça tombait bien, ça faisait un petit bout de temps que je voulais justement y faire un tour. Friday, May 2, 2014. Dic Ann's (food truck edition). Dic Ann's existe depuis 60 ans mais c'est juste de puis l'an passé que nous avons la chance d'avoir un camion de rue. De ce restaurant stationné dans le Vieux-Port de Montréal. On y retrouve le même bon menu de base: frites, burgers, poutine et toujours avec la même bonne sauce épicée maison.
