Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it.: July Delta Dish
http://keethadeltadish.blogspot.com/2011/06/july-delta-dish.html
Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it. Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Volume 7 Issue 6. I don’t know of any day camp for grownups where we get to make things, like in Vacation Bible School and summer camp. That was always my favorite part. (Least favorite: dodge ball and softball.). There’s nothing like making something. It’s why I wander around in Michael’s, browsing the paper products alone for an hour: rubber stamps and inks and so many different kinds of paper. You can follow my blogs! 8220;We th...

Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it.: January 2011
http://keethadeltadish.blogspot.com/2011/01/january-2011.html
Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Volume 7 Issue 1. I hope the new is still on your year. I love January, when anything seems possible. On any given day, of course, anything IS possible, but this month we tend to talk about goals and what we hope for and we’re looking for, more than at any other time of year. That optimism is good, don’t you think? You can follow my blogs! 8220;Be intent upon the perfection of the present day.” - William Law. Can substitute ...

Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it.: December 2010
http://keethadeltadish.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it. Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Volume 6 Issue 12. Every year I say this year I will not be rushed. I will not be stressed. I will enjoy the holiday season. I will bake cookies and I will sing Christmas carols and I will, by golly, enjoy it. Being busy is part and parcel of the holiday season. I aim to be joyful and that usually works. You can follow my blogs! 8220;It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.” - W. T. Ellis. If you need a gift ...

Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it.: August 2010
http://keethadeltadish.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it. Sunday, August 1, 2010. Volume 6 Issue 8. A few weeks ago, my husband and I spent several hours hanging pictures. Since we moved in this house last September (10 months ago if anyone is counting) we have had three moving boxes of pictures stored in the hall closet. Every morning I’d see those boxes when I opened the closet to get out my exercise mat. 8220;We’ve got to get those pictures hung,” I told myself each time. That didn’t work. 8220;He who does not ...

Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Volume 7 Issue 4. My son told me once that he couldn’t wait until he grew taller than me because then he’d be older than me and he could tell me what to do. He was incredulous when I explained that he may well be taller than me someday but he’d never be older than me. I added I wouldn’t count on his telling me what to do, either. Wouldn’t it be nice if that’s what being a grownup was about, at least part of the time? 8220;Easter s...

Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it.: May-June Delta Dish
http://keethadeltadish.blogspot.com/2011/06/may-june-delta-dish.html
Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it. Thursday, June 2, 2011. Volume 7 Issue 5. My calendar works just fine. I have no excuse, then, for skipping the May issue of Delta Dish. I felt like something was missing. I looked around, patted my pockets. I had my keys, my cell phone. I realized it was the entire month; it had gone in a flash. Summer brain encourages dawdling, gazing at nothing, and daydreaming about fresh peaches and ripe tomatoes. You can follow my blogs! 8220;Rest is not idleness, and...

Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it.: March 2011
http://keethadeltadish.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it. Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Volume 7 Issue 3. When I bought my new calendar and notebooks, I decided that at the beginning of each month, I could try to recapture that feeling that comes at the beginning of the year. The optimism, the sense that anything can happen, this could be your year! And lots of other phrases from self-help books. That worked remarkably well for January. Come February, I forgot about it until well into the first week of the month.

http://keethadeltadish.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Delta Dish. So Southern - loving it, living it. Thursday, July 1, 2010. Volume 6 Issue 7. My brother can’t tolerate the phrase “same difference.” It can’t be the same if it’s different! That’s the way I used to feel about “youth is wasted on the young.” It’s nonsensical. To a child, a child who wants ballet princess Barbie, four months was an impossibly long time. I hear myself saying this – out loud, to myself – about time! It’s true that thing about youth being wasted on the young. All that t...8220;Su...
