You can call me Sue". Sunday, 16 August 2015. Don't stress, do your best, forget the rest. Exactly what Sunday is for! In fact I decided I wasn't getting out of my jimmies until the sun came out. It did, but it was closer to lunch time than first thing in the morning! The day turned into a CRACKER! So nice in fact that I got the cushions out of storage for the garden swing, IT IS A SIGN. A very good one too. The girls gathered at my feet while I sat and swung, so I got some food for them to snack on.

You can call me Sue". Thursday, 31 July 2014. It was a one shop stop! Sometimes you go out and come home with nothing. And other days you come home with lots. Other days you come home with a small selection. That satisfies and tickles your fancy. I went to only one shop. The sweetest little case for $5, an iconic Kiwi Mary Loo wooden doll for $5, bangles $1 each, Delft salt and Pepper $8, and the nicest embroidered linen doily for $1. Clothes that were all only $2.50 each! Home to celebrate in the garden!

March 14, 2011. This is our latest batch of pumpkins. I thought that they were early this year, as I always seem to associate pumpkins with pumpkin soup and winter. However my husband informs me this is not the case. I must have a bad memory as apparently we have had more than one crop a year in the past. These little beauties are a nice size, one a little scarred on top (probably from the mower) but will be nicely shared amongst our neighbours on either side of us and ourselves. February 2, 2015. And then there were lots . This is one jaboticaba. And a gathering of jaboticaba! If they are not picked promptly they end up on the ground. And they have a very different growth pattern. Not a good photo as it was taken after fruit had been picked. However I have noticed they are often referred to as the grape tree, and often spelt Jab u. We usually just eat jaboticaba raw, but I might investigate a few recipes. They are an unusual fruit with a tough skin and an a grape like texture.
