My 17 year old son has had private lessons to help him with organizing his studies and understanding school work from the age of 10 till the age of 13. However, he is now 17 and sitting his matriculation exams. He had two exams on one unit (out of 4) last year and did exceedingly badly. He opted not to retake them. Wednesday, January 2, 2013. ADHD and I Dont Need Ritalin Mum. They both come off Ritalin for every weekend and any other non-school days. It does make the weekends tiresome but I'm not afraid the Ritalin is stinting their growth anymore. Also as they are such skinny minnies I hope the weekend fattens them up before they lose their appetite again. I digress. What's happened since he stopped taking it:.
