Tuesday, September 4, 2012. A Lot of Peaches. Every time I think about peaches, the song Peaches. By Presidents of the United States of America gets stuck in my head. And as of late, it seems to have taken permanent residence up there with all the peaches I've been using! the leopard lizard: The Shirt Skirt
http://theleopardlizard.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-shirt-skirt.html
Friday, August 31, 2012. When there's an eight and a half year age difference between your girls, it's hard to justify saving Little Miss M's clothes until Baby P can fit into them. That's a lot of boxes to be lugging around! Maybe that will be my next project! Turn "skirt" inside out. Fold raw edge over 1/4 of an inch, then fold over again 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches, depending on the size of elastic you will be using. Make sure that you are pinning as you fold to keep it in place until you begin sew...Polka...

Sunday, July 6, 2014. On top of the world and so close to Heaven. Okay So the 100 happy days didn't make it very far. Not for a lack of happiness. But just for a lack of photos and remembering to snap shots in the moment. But that is just fine. I don't need photos to prove to world that I am happy. There are other fruits of happiness. Peace. Health. Energy. Love. Or maybe happiness is a fruit of these things. Today I was listening to Music and the Spoken Word. Posted by sarah h. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, January 19, 2015. I was planning on sending 2014 out with a bang. Instead it went out with a snap. I had some great goals and things that I wanted to accomplish and change in my life before the ball dropped and 2014 made its grand exit into 2015. But all that came to screeching halt when I took one step and SNAP. That snap happened in my right foot. Ouch! Final prognosis. Lisfranc. AKA broken arch. What the? Posted by sarah h. the leopard lizard: Peaches
http://theleopardlizard.blogspot.com/2012/09/peaches.html
Sunday, September 2, 2012. Ever wish you'd paid closer attention to something when you were younger? For me it was my Moma when she was canning. I was too busy whining and complaining about having to peel and cut the fruits and vegetables to pay a lick of attention to what she did with them. Oh do I regret it now. While the Mister is away with his. Now I want to go out and buy a bazillion jars and start canning everything under the sun! I feel so accomplished! September 2, 2012 at 10:26 PM. My Kind of Sa...

Friday, March 30, 2012. The Grass Is Always Greener. Well folks, I went golfing for my first time today. If you consider riding in the golf cart holding Baby P golfing that is. I couldn't even make it past the tee off without committing a huge golf faux pas. And I mean huge. Who knew it wasn't acceptable to talk to someone mid-swing? My deepest apologies to the Mister! 1 Never talk or ask questions during someone's play, especially mid-swing. Can break a golfer's concentration and you will be shushed.

Sunday, March 31, 2013. Day 2: Unaware of my quest Dad gave me a big box of chocolate candy for Valentine's Day It went into hiding until after Lent. Day 5: Dad made a huge batch of chocolate chip cookies. My #1 weakness. And there they were sitting on the counter. Fresh and warm. Let's just say this batch lasted longer then they normally do. Day 8: Commercials for Easter candy began to air. Has it really only been a week? Day 33: Peanut butter cookies. Mmmmm! Day 43: Ended Lent with lots of Easter candy...
