Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood

An online 'tour' of our own houses, and an accompanying artist's book that focuses on an intimate selection of the tour. We hope that by acknowledging the past, discussing the present and investing in the future we not only develop our own relationship, but aim to raise an awareness of how we are connected to the places where we live, and to understand the psychology that underpins our furnishings, decor and household adornments. Our conversations are shown in the comments boxes.

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood: March 2012

http://yourplacemyplaceproject.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood. Artists Book - Open House: No.18 and No. 42. Wednesday, 28 March 2012. For practical reasons the room does have coat hooks – my justification for the (rather extravagant) Eames purchase was that I bought it on a visit to New York about nine years ago when the exchange rate was very good so it seemed like a bargain! There is quite a lot to see in here so we may be a while. Philippa Wood: Book Arts. It has some nice...

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood. Artists Book - Open House: No.18 and No. 42. Monday, 11 June 2012. Multi-functional. Table setting. The kitchen table is probably the most used area in the house; it acts as a place to eat, work, read, drink, talk, and more. The table is relatively new due to the fact that I burnt the previous one by leaving a candle burning away. You can see the pew in the photograph above, taken shortly after we moved in. To par...

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood: Extravagance

http://yourplacemyplaceproject.blogspot.com/2014/04/extravagance.html

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood. Artists Book - Open House: No.18 and No. 42. Tuesday, 29 April 2014. I guess that a garden could be called an extravagance, but the extravagance that I wanted to mention is the thing that I like to do when I'm looking at/around my garden. Actually I will eat liquorice mostly anywhere, but it's extremely nice (and satisfying) doing it whilst taking time to look at the little piece of nature beyond my back door.

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood: October 2012

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood. Artists Book - Open House: No.18 and No. 42. Tuesday, 23 October 2012. Well I think this area is the last I'll show you in this room before we move back down the upstairs hallway again. We're looking at the alcove on the left side of the room. The chest of drawers are G-Plan (and one of a matching pair - the other one is situated in the right alcove of this room). Angie Butler: Letterpress Printed Artists' Books.

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood. Artists Book - Open House: No.18 and No. 42. Tuesday, 3 July 2012. Through the door and up the wooden hill. Well, think it's time to leave the snug - the original door was still in place here, but had been turned into a sliding door, faced with hardboard(! It had some old wallpaper. Your Place Massage and Spa

Your Place Massage and Spa. Monday, November 7, 2011. That's how a lot of people feel after getting a really good pedicure. Amazing! But why is that? What is it about a pedicure that has people spending top dollar on a service for their feet? And don't a lot of us wear shoes? So it cant be that it just makes your feet look great. (which they do). Oh, the Massage! Just writing about it makes me smile and my whole body just relaxed a bit! Your Place Massage Therapy. Sunday, October 30, 2011. Kids young and...

Thank you for visiting. The 'back door' from this house has changed location a few times: firstly through an extension consisting. Of a small skylit corridor (back door at the end) with a wet room.
