Frank is renowned for his ability to determine the quality of a placer. He has prospected many of the areas surrounding his claims, and has often acted as a consultant, sharing his expertise with other mining operations. There are few individuals who have a better understanding of placers in the Yukon's Silver Trail region, than Frank.

In addition to his mining camp sites, Frank keeps a residence in the Village of Mayo. With a population of less than 500, Mayo is still the largest inhabited area in the Silver Trail region of the Yukon. Mayo has a history that traces back to the days of the Klondike. It also has the distinction of having recorded some of the Yukon's most extreme weather conditions, with a record high of 36 and a record low of -62 degrees celsius.
