Yarra Valley Amateur Radio Group Inc. (YVARG). Club Meetings and Repeaters. The club meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the club rooms at the Yarra Glen Scout Hall 140 Steels Creek Road Yarra Glen. Friends and visitors are welcome. The Yarra Valley Amateur Radio Group was founded in 1986 when a few like minded people identified the need for a radio amateur group that would service the Yarra Valley and surrounding districts. An artlcle in the Leader Newspaper resulted in about 20 radio amateurs or potential radio amateurs getting together for a first meeting. The Yarra Valley Amateur radio Group is proud to present a broadcast of technical information for the education and personal development of radio amateurs. The broadcast is dependent on the availability of resource material. The broadcast is based on the material that was originally produced by the Gold Coast Amateur Radio Society and presented as the Q5 program. During the winter months the broadcast time slot will be approximatly 7pm EST and will run until 8pm EST when the 2m net will commence.

Spring VHF-UHF Contest 22nd and 23rd November. YVARG will be participating in this event. We will be taking the caravan to Toolangi State Forrest. The caravan will be on site at 8am on Saturday morning ready for set-up.
