I had such a fortunate opportunity to spend time with some of the most passionate, most friendly, and most beautiful people I have ever met, and it was a great learning experience. My last s...

In continuation of sharing about the outreach phase of the 2012 YWAM Tokyo DTS, the next stop would be a two week trip to the Philippines! Why Japan? | Pete & Hege Mahoney: Serving Japan
http://www.pete-hege.com/why-japan
Why does one of the richest nations on earth need more missionaries? The population is over 127 million, but less than 1% are followers of Jesus. The main religion is a mix of Shinto and Buddhism. Though Japan is materially well off, it is very spiritually poor. Out of 692 large cities, 86 only have 1 church, and 10 large cities have no churches. Family breakdowns are very common with the divorce rate constantly increasing and marriage rate rapidly declining. Information provided by YWAM Tokyo.
