In partnership with the IRS. Spokane County United Way. And community partners, we provide free tax preparation services for low to moderate income and elderly people. In 2016, more than 200 volunteers from AARP Foundation. Tax returns in 2016. This brought $6.9 million in refunds. Back into the community, including $2 million in Earned Income Tax Credits. There were 9 tax sites serving lower-to-medium income households and the elderly in Spokane County. Promotional inserts to approximately 145,000.
