A brief history of YYY Foundation. YYY Foundation was started by Sera and Sarah Gurung following the earthquake in Nepal 25. Our work in Nepal is supervised by The Mandala Organisation a local NGO run by people we have known for many years through our work in adventure tourism and expedition leadership. In March 2016 I spent two weeks volunteering in Nepal with the Gurungs, visiting schools and orphanages that were struck by the earthquake in 2015. News from Nepal 2016. Shree Kalika Basic School, Ukhubari. Completed project - update. Jumlingtar School, Ghorka District. Mangala Devi School, Likhu, Nuwakot. Shree Seti Devi Primary, Sindupalchowk. It was hard to believe this school was just bits of bamboo in October 2015. Five months on the classrooms are all finished, we had a brilliant day dancing with the children as we celebrated the new school together. Thanks to everyone who helped us fund the building work.
