We filled water balloons and played by the sprinkler and in the sand (both Zachary and Brandon love water balloons now)! While we have spent much of the summer visiting Grandma Karen and Pops house in Eastport, we were so glad on this very hot day to go to Dix Hills where there are three pools, including two that are perfect for the boys - one which is twelve inches deep and another that goes from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 feet! Detailing the adventures of our two sons. Saturday, July 17, 2010. We drove up to Madison, Connecticut today to spend the day with the Hurtgens (minus Chris who had a baseball game). The boys were excited to see Caitlin, Maddie, Casey and Sophie and had a great time playing in the yard and inside the house before we had a yummy lunch! In the afternoon, we went to the Hurtgens' pool club and the boys absolutely loved the shallow kiddie pool with lots of fun toys to play with! Park Time with Aaron.

Zachary wore his Toy Story swimsuit with flotation pads inside the suit which he decided he wanted to wear today. Mommy, the boys and Leela headed to the Bronx Zoo today to enjoy the beautiful weather and see lots of animals while Zachary had a day off from school! The boys both enjoyed seeing all of the animals, and Zachary couldn't get enough! On this beautiful summer Wednesday, Caitlin, Casey and Sophie all make the trek from Madison, CT to come and play with the boys! The boys were so happy to play with them, and they had a great time in local playgrounds and hanging out! Zachary met his buddy Aaron in the park this afternoon and the two of them had a great time running and climbing all over the park! They were enjoying pretending that dinosaurs were chasing them as they ran around the park!
