Zach's Photo Adventures: My Gear

http://zachsphotoadventures.blogspot.com/2014/08/my-gear.html

Friday, August 1, 2014. Since I'm always curious as to what other photographers use to make their photos, I figured I should show you a list of what I use to take my photos. Depending on how soon I get all my planned content posted, I may end up doing a review on the more complicated pieces I use. Sony A57 with 50mm 1.7. The Beast: Sony A99. Sony 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 Zoom. This is the lens that came with the A57, and what can I say? Minolta 50mm 1.7 Prime AKA "Nifty Fifty". Minolta 28-85mm 3.5-4.5. This is my...

Friday, August 1, 2014. An Introduction of Sorts. Welcome to my blog! Zach's Photo Adventures: Portrait Day Out

http://zachsphotoadventures.blogspot.com/2014/08/portrait-day-out.html

Friday, August 1, 2014. Last week I had the opportunity to catch up with my friend Kristen, who I haven't seen in almost a year. We were looking for something to do, when I suggested we take some portraits by the river. She readily agreed, and so we headed over to the park. The Royal Port" Sony A99 28mm, f/9, 1/125, ISO 100. This was my first time doing non-candid portraiture, as well as my first time out with the A99, so I had my work cut out for me when it came to light-sensitivity and depth of field!

Into The Ravenous Maw: A Brief Piece on Double-Dipping Description

http://intotheravenousmaw.blogspot.com/2017/01/a-brief-piece-on-double-dipping.html

Writing for Digital Media. Reading: Past and Present. Thursday, January 5, 2017. A Brief Piece on Double-Dipping Description. I've written posts before. Henry's chestnut hair matched the parlor wallpaper, aluminum tracery included. This sentence came to me while I was thinking on this subject a few minutes ago. It's not my favorite sentence, and I don't believe I'll be using it in a story, but I think it should work well to illustrate my concept of "double-dipping.". January 8, 2017 at 3:20 PM. Writing for Digital Media. Reading: Past and Present. Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Sports Posts to Come. I've been intending to post something to this blog for a while now, but I just haven't gotten the motivation to go ahead with any particular topic. A lot of my time the last few weeks has been spent on sports (watching and reading about), so I've decided to write a few posts on sports topics. I listened to the audiobook for Kevin Hearne's Hounded. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

She decided to walk. It’s for the best. From her wallet she pulled two 20’s and a 5, with her gift card for Chili’s. Thank the Lord, still 20% battery. Into th...
