I have grown up seeing a lot of walls in the city of Mumbai being painted with large advertisements or horrible pieces of graffiti that look like they were made by people with no sense of aesthetics or sense at all. This grew into an interest as I travelled to cities around the world as a child, where I’d keep an eye out for painted walls, because unlike in Mumbai, the art on walls wasn’t limited to horrible graffiti.

Randomized thoughts of Mystique. Wednesday, 15 June 2011. Hassan, the very sweet water-sports instructor, took me out for a gratis snorkeling session today, at a reef a five-minute swim away. For an hour, yes, and I saw SO much. Two turtles, many, many parrotfish, an eagle ray, clownfish, some trippy looking trigger-fish, and oh, lots more. It was all very blissful, and incredibly tiring.
