Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Salted Caramel Hazelnut Chocolate Chunk Cookies. Just under the wire, September's Cookie of the Month! All I have to say is: Oh. My. Yes! Make these cookies. Like, NOW! Saturday, May 30, 2015. Sign of the Crab. Some projects, well, they take a long time to see through to completion. Quick and easy turned out to be debatable, or maybe I didn't have as much down time as I had assumed I would. This was as far as I got during our vacation, just 3 crabs out of the 12 that I needed to make it around my waist, plus some background. Combined make this by far the most expensive belt I have ever owned, and probably ever will. But OH, MY, is it gorgeous! Carl, Brent, and Joseph.

Saturday, August 30, 2014. I mentioned Stanley Park has its own aquarium, and it is fantastic! Then again, I just love aquariums, and having a kid is a great excuse to keep finding new ones everywhere we go. The Vancouver Aquarium has a big marine mammal rescue and rehab program. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. My work schedule has not been so kind in allowing me the flexibility to chaperone many of the 2nd grade field trips, but I was finally able to go on one last week, to the Montgomery County Recycling Center. Of course they recycle books, but what are the odds of them displaying a picture of Nelson's Textbook of Pediatrics when a pediatrician is chaperoning? Absolutely fascinating, and God bless the people that work there! You know the drill, people: REDUCE - REUSE - RECYCLE!
