Backyard birds are birds that have been encountered on our property in Boulder Creek, 12 miles North of Santa Cruz Calif. The property is slightly over 1/2 acre with the San Lorenzo River running through it. The San Lorenzo runs all year and the property is heavily wooded with redwood, fir and oak trees. There are around 35 redwood trees over a hunderd years old.

Ken and his 153 lb halibut. The botom picture is of an estimated 4 KG Yellow Belly, a cichlid species and as large as a cichlid will get. We were hand trolling in the afternoon along the shore of Lake Tanganyika alongside of Mahale Mountains National Park on the West side of Tanzania in July of 2012. Wahoo or Ono, Kona Hawaii.
