Visitors Welcome: January 2009
http://aussiehalliday.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Australia Day the Second. Last year on Australia Day we were on our flight to SYD. The flight attendants all had Aussie flags tatooed to their cheeks/foreheads. Lots of passengers had a couple. Cocktails. We were mostly just excited to be reunited with Matt; wondering if Australia would be as we'd imagined (hot desert, kangaroos hopping every which way.); craving a shower and a bed. Sigh for Dr. Spark*. So here's the deal with the sausage sizzles. Everywhere you gather du...

Visitors Welcome: Autumn Proof
http://aussiehalliday.blogspot.com/2009/06/autumn-proof.html
Thursday, June 11, 2009. I swear it was fall for less than a week here. Luckily I snapped these pics to remind me. Now that the radio guy tells me we are in for a week of "tops of 13" (celcius- not sure on the conversion, but just know it's c-c-c-cold) I am forgetting what those delightful fall days felt like. I was literally running at top speed (while maneuvering Taylor's stroller and the camera) to try to keep up enough to get some photos. I realized after I finally gave up that he/she (you never know!

Visitors Welcome: April 2009
http://aussiehalliday.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 12, 2009. After lunch we drove out to the Blue Mountains to explore and hike around. The mountains are not really blue. In fact they are very green due to the thick Eucalyptus forests. The "blue" comes from the oils that the trees emit into the air, making the haze around the mountains look blue. As you look toward the far-est away part of this photo, you'll see that blue haze. I have been so proud of these kids! Posted by C Hall. Saturday, April 11, 2009. Breakfast with the animals. Wombat...

Monday, May 25, 2009. Zach and Lizzy's Wedding Day. After a week of sunshine, the big wedding day was stormy and cold. Visitors Welcome: March 2009
http://aussiehalliday.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Just south of Sydney is this massive National Park. It competes with Yellowstone in being the "First" National Park in the world. It is massive. I'm disappointed we didn't start exploring here sooner. I am sure we could go every week, and never tire of it. What better way to end a hike than with a swim? There are a few small towns located. If only he knew how much fun and challenge awaited him as we landed at this deserted beach (could a National Forest get any better? Not a good...
