Jemelene: When We Reclaim the Gift of Women (A Book Review)
http://ahopefuloutlook.blogspot.com/2013/08/when-we-reclaim-gift-of-women-book.html
Stories of Faith, Hope, Love and Food. August 21, 2013. When We Reclaim the Gift of Women (A Book Review). Sarah weaves her own stories throughout with the Scriptures we know. She kindly challenges the world's view of feminism. Just as Jesus defended Mary while she sat at His feet, we are challenged to rethink rules we've made that contradict the message of His love for us. Jesus Feminist: An Invitation to Revisit the Bible's View of Women. You can order Jesus Feminist here! I really want to read this!

Jemelene: Why I Write
http://ahopefuloutlook.blogspot.com/p/why-do-i-write.html
Stories of Faith, Hope, Love and Food. My life is filled with stories. I have traversed the roads of depression, eating disorders, infertility, disrupted adoption, raising a child with multiple medical issues and losing a parent to a long term illness. Growing up in a mainline denomination and now serving alongside my husband in ministry has left me with many tales to tell. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Enter your email address:. Stories of Faith, Hope, Love and Food. I am married to The Coffee Guy (or Dude). He was my FedEx man when I married him. Now he is a Pastor who delivers coffee to my bed in the morning. We have a beautiful life together. It is rarely easy but worth every moment we spend in each other's company. I'm the mother to a Ray of Sunshyne and bio miracle. She is a beautiful young woman who can act, sing, dance and twirl a flag like nobody's business. She is now a wife who loves to encourage and cook.

Jemelene: Shunning the Pinterest Perfect Title
http://ahopefuloutlook.blogspot.com/2013/12/shunning-pinterest-perfect-title.html
Stories of Faith, Hope, Love and Food. December 03, 2013. Shunning the Pinterest Perfect Title. I find it interesting that the term Pinterest has found its way past a title to an adjective. Recently, I read someone describe their nuptials as a “Pinterest wedding.". It's the electronic version of cutting out magazine articles to plan parties, try new recipes, shop for clothes, learn to organize or compile dieting tips. Along with this phenomenon, I've noticed an unwanted consequence: the feeling of inadeq...

Jemelene: In the Morning Mercies
http://ahopefuloutlook.blogspot.com/2013/11/in-morning-mercies.html
Stories of Faith, Hope, Love and Food. November 09, 2013. In the Morning Mercies. The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes were the colors streaking over the trees. The painted sky shows through the branches. Just last week the amber leaves fell, opening the confines of our yard and stretching out the view into the surrounding mountains. I shifted toward the french doors to soak in the beauty of a new day. Mindful. Lamentations 3:22,23 ESV). We don't have to go looking for His mercies. He brin...

Jemelene: When It's Time to Tell the Story
http://ahopefuloutlook.blogspot.com/2013/10/when-its-time-to-tell-story.html
Stories of Faith, Hope, Love and Food. October 25, 2013. When It's Time to Tell the Story. I wanted to wait until I was at the end of my journey to write about this one. The problem with that is, this won't end until my life on earth is done. That will be the day I'll receive my heavenly body and the story that I am living now won't really matter. It matters now so it is now I will begin the telling. In Facebook terms, my relationship status with food would look like this:. He used soul sisters to reveal...

W/ Storyteller Arlen Miller. This Interview of Lewis Schiff and Jeff Goins Turned my World Upside Down. September 16, 2014. A few weeks ago, I listened with interest to Jeff Goins’ interview. Of Lewis Schiff from Inc. Magazine. I had never heard of Lewis Schiff before. The interview was based on Schiff’s book: Business Brilliant.
