September 24, 2009 · Filed under HOME. After studying the lessons, the learners are asked to practice some activities to strengthen the correct use of adverbs. There will be varieties of activities. In Lesson 1 there will be two activities. The first activity is forming Adverbs from adjectives. This activity consists of 11 parts. The second one is identifying the adverbs in 6 different statements. In Lesson 2 there will be an activity to write a sentence for each of the 7 given words.

Modifying the verb) It is used to describe the way of the action is done. It answers the question how? She moved slowly and spoke quietly. She did the work carefully. (‘Carefully’ modifies the verb to describe the way the work was done, as opposed to quickly, carelessly, etc.). 2 Adverbs of place. She has lived in the island all her life.
