Zen on the Highway. Friday, August 21, 2009. Summer is way, way too hot during pregnancy. I didn't believe my mother in law when she told me tht I would not enjoy the summer months. I thought to myself, I've never had a problem during the summer, so what if I get a bit hotter than normal. Noooooo.this summer, I have gotten heat stroke 3 times, all on my way back from Jerusalem and spent the first months of summer lying on the couch, with 2 ice packs and the a/c, that didn't really work, on top speed.

Zen on the Highway. Saturday, September 26, 2009. We had a great short hike today, which nearly beat me.for the first time in my life, I almost thought that I might not make it to the top. But I did, huffing and puffing and Idan barely started to breathe heavily. Of course, as stubborn as I am, there was no way that I intended to pass up this opportunity! So up we went, Idan practically skipping his way up and me huffing and puffing with frequent breaks, wondering why I had to get myself into this one.

On Saturday we woke the kids up at 5:30 and strapped on their camel backs and a headlamp and pointed them up the mountain. Friday, October 31, 2014. October was a beautiful month. We drove up the canyon one day and hiked around. I wish I could have gotten out more on my bike since we live in such a great location. Darren enjoyed the mountains and biked a ton. The leaves were amazing. Tyler made some yummy crepes one night. I made some yummy chicken with mozzerella and fresh basil. Wednesday, June 25, 2014. The last weekend in May we headed up to Logan for Grandpa Seth's Birthday. We went to the temple early. Then Darren took off to enjoy a nice bike ride. He found a little helper to help him fix Grandmas bike so she can get out and ride. Our present to Grandpa was to help do some yard work. Weeding, trimming, even a little planting and Tyler finished it off by mowing the lawn. Happy Birthday Grandpa. The cinnamon rolls from Great Harvest Bread were my kind of cake!
