Furnace Mountain Zen Retreat Center. The center is located on more than 800 acres of rugged woodland (part of the Daniel Boone National Forest) in the Red River Gorge region of eastern Kentucky. During retreats our residents and guests keep a regular practice schedule. That includes both formal meditation practice and the work of maintaining the buildings and grounds.
