Saturday say very promising conditions, with a SW wind and cloud base at just above 4k, with Juan, David and myself setting a tacit task towards the city of Okeechobee. David would find further lift and continued on all the way to goal, for a great flight of 70 kms, congratulations on a flight well done. I ended up launching later in the afternoon as clouds and rain were developing to the north. During my flight I felt boxed in from the rain and fearing a gust front I headed over the back towards Rabinal, landing just in time before the big storm hit. After the previous Sunday where most pilots got 3 hour flights (except me who paid for my impatience), we were all back hoping for a super summer day, with David, Alex, Richard, Bill, Marco, Henry, Alfredo and myself. The conditions called for calm winds, but there was a considerable breeze from the East. A task to Immokalee was set, with the turnpoint over Labelle airport. Thermalling up under David.
