My first high-redshift (distant) paper is about the discovery of a galaxy cluster located 10.5 billion light years from Earth. It was discovered in the first semester of imaging data from the Z-FOURGE survey. We are using medium-band filters on the new FourStar camera at the Magellan Baade telescope. To obtain distances to distant galaxies at unprecedented accuracies over a spatially-complete region of the sky. The scientific paper describing the galaxy cluster is available here.

We release galaxy redshift catalogue and 1D spectra for 2 cluster fields for observations carried out between 2013 2015 over 13 MOSFIRE nights. MOSFIRE nights were awarded to the ZFIRE program by a combination of Swinburne University (Program IDs- 2013A W163M, 2013B W160M, 2014A W168M, 2015A W193M), Australian National University (Program IDs- 2013B Z295M, 2014A Z225M, 2015A Z236M), and NASA (Program IDs- 2013A N105M, 2014A N121M) telescope time allocation committees. A Keck/MOSFIRE spectroscopic survey of star-forming galaxies in rich enviornments during cosmic-noon. With the growing number of confirmed galaxy clusters at z 2, it is now possible to track how baryons cycle between stars, winds, and the ISM when cluster galaxies are still forming a large fraction of their stars. ZFIRE combines imaging from the Hubble Space Telescope. With deep spectroscopy from Keck Observatory.

ZFIRE is a multi-year program with 12 nights awarded thus far on Keck (although 7 were lost to poor weather conditions). To reach the target depths for 3-5 galaxy clusters, the survey require 20 nights on Keck by 2017.
