Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Blood Moon" Lunar Eclipse over Oakland. Early this morning I was able to glimpse the "Blood Moon" Lunar eclipse event in the skies of Oakland. It was quite a site to behold. For most of the night, esp. as the full eclipse was about to start, it looked like the low clouds and fog would eclipse our view of the celestial event. But the clouds broke up just enough for me to take these clear shots of the eclipse. Wednesday, April 9, 2014. On my blog. It felt like after 2011 it wou...

I traveled to Vancouver to take in the final match of the Women's World Cup. It was a classic rematch of the 2011 finals: Japan vs. USA. The USA was looking to avenge their penalty kick loss that year and fans of both teams mixed it up in good nature before the game. And be completely decked out to support their team. Wednesday, June 3, 2015. A trip to Barra de Potosi, Mexico. There is nothing quite like taking a vacation in a beautiful remote location like Barra de Potosi, Mexico. There are crashing waves. In the dried out sands right before the rainy season there are the tracks of wildlife. Sometimes saying hello to each other. Barra de Potosi is a fishing village located about 20 miles south of Zihuatanajeo, Mexico. The fisherman head out to sea. And also into the lagoon nearby to cast their nets.

And they hit their first 3 3-pointers to grab a lead over Texas. Cell:...
