The CameraMonkey: March 2009
http://thecameramonkey.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
I shot Who in the What now? Of life, I think, is completely unavoidable and very necessary once you achieve parenthood. During my single days, all I really saw was a need for work, Totino's pizzas, XBox and indoor soccer. Occasionally I'd see a cute, young lady and a bit of flirtation would ensue. I'd see the "need" for a Transformer on eBay (Hey, I got Optimus Prime for a good. And my checking account would see a good sized hit. While Dude gets his first. Lookin' at pics with Momma. To sleep.) as Du...

I shot Who in the What now? Is awesome. In every sense of the word. And it's also vast and varied, from desert to forest. A 3 day camping trip to Zion National Park provided me with a great opportunity to see what my camera can do in "the wild". While the real thing can never be beat, the XSi certainly gives you a pretty good idea! How lucky are we that all this and more is right in Utah's backyard? As cool as this was, watching the boys play in it was just as cool! See you over there! The photography ha...

The CameraMonkey: What Kind of Bureau Are We?!
http://thecameramonkey.blogspot.com/2013/04/what-kind-of-bureau-are-we.html
I shot Who in the What now? What Kind of Bureau Are We? Just so I don't have to cut loose and vent on the wife tonight when I get home, I'll soapbox it here instead. Almost a year to the day I moved my family from SLC to St George for a new work opportunity as a bureau photographer. Bureau work has been something I've always thought about doing since my CSU days and interning at KCNC's NoBo in Ft Collins. "What a great gig! To head to Polygamy central for. uh. non-news. Case in point: In the wee hours of...

And here's some proof for ya. finally! And HE's a HE! A beautiful baby BOY! The lil' 7lb.12oz. Dude graced Zippy and I at 4:13am Thursday, Aug. 9th, after 16 hours of labor. After contracting for what seemed like forever, and not making any progress, Zippy finally succumbed to the call of the epidural (spelled right? Please pray hard that al...

I shot Who in the What now? Bud came into this world at 910p, weighing in at 8 lb 0.8 oz. and measured 20" long. Zippy was in labor for about 13 hours, but only pushed about 4 or 5 times! Once things got going, things went quick! Cute little Bud huh? Now we've got 2/11's of our future soccer team! Well, it's late. 1245a to be exact. Zippy's sleeping and so's Bud. I better get some ZZZ's too. Posted by M. Stephen. That we finally get to meet the fetus! Saying ".it feels like Christmas Eve night! Really...

I shot Who in the What now? I Mean, Really. Who blogs anymore these days? I'm guessing maybe 5 or 600 people. But more importantly than that, who the hell actually reads this one? That's what I thought. :-P. I was kinda surprised, both pleasantly and unexpectedly, that this blog was still around. Honestly. Look, it's been 7 months since the last post and that. Was about how long it was since the previous post! I think I'm starting to see a trend here. But without the chapter breaks. Hmm BLOG = B.

I shot Who in the What now? Are crap really. But they're implied with our best intentions. So, what are mine? I'd like to get back to this blog and "start over". Re-vamp it a bit, aimed more at, selfishly, me. Zippy's got her own blog so why can't I? So there. Nyah. I'd like to lose a few pounds and get down in the 190's again. The holiday's have been cruel. So have the kids, at times. I'd like to find that passion I once had for my job. There ARE good points to my job, really. Posted by M. Stephen.

I shot Who in the What now? Is a stooped game. Really. STOO-PID. What kind of friend do you wanna play, or play against, in a word game where one of you is gonna get hammered 6 feet under? And it's not like you, or your opponent, actually knows these ridiculously complex words. It's that the player gets so damn lucky on the placement of the word that they only really have to exert the bare minimum and be rewarded with 11ty-7 points and the key to some city. Did I just admit to watching "Grey's Anatomy"?
