Poto loop, 50 miles of flat and windy around lansing on sunday. ahh, the spirit of an indian summer weekend, just enough to give you that 'hit by a truck' feeling for work on monday. Wind and a wee hint of dark clouds on the horizon were not of concern as i rolled out for my monday evening ride. 20 minutes later i was in the midst of lightning-o-rama as that speck of dark clouds was now covering most of the sky. yuk. a quick u-turn and i was barreling down the road with a 20mph gusty tailwind. so much for my planned 2 hrs. Didn't get rained on but the lighting and wind were pretty intense.
