My One Hundred: February 2012
http://myonehundredpieces.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Thi s one isn’t in Nina’s One Hundred, but it is essential and it can be very hard to find. The perfect My-Lips-But-Better lipstick doesn’t make your lips look paler or more dramatic or darker or anything else, but just that much better and maybe a bit brighter and healthier. A MLBB lipstick is not necessarily a “nude”. I have yet to find a good “nude” lipstick, primarily because all. Of them have so far looked chalky on me. At least, that’s my theory). I have to admit, I̵...

My One Hundred: January 2010
http://myonehundredpieces.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 30, 2010. Sorry, folks, but I would be quite happy to never see another Pandora bracelet. They’ve become ubiquitous, they’re no longer unique. They all blend together and look the same. They make gift-buying easy, but a bit dull. I know Pandora has fans, but honestly, can anyone tell how “individual” each bracelet is from a polite distance? Are any of the beads so completely drool-worthy that people will ask you where you found such a beauty? Bracelets and cuffs are enough! A capsule wa...

My One Hundred: September 2010
http://myonehundredpieces.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 4, 2010. Wearing a man's white shirt is meant to look casual, classic and collected, effortlessly chic and carelessly elegant. On me, a man's white shirt looks like it was dark when I dressed and I reached for the wrong rack in the wardrobe, and I was probably hung over as well. It doesn't fit. It's crumpled. It's baggy. The collar is too stiff and too high and I'm just swamped. I look like an overweight child. An unstylish. It’s a big NO from me to a man’s white shirt.

The Weekly Olive: Homemade Halloween Costumes
http://weeklyolive.blogspot.com/2010/09/homemade-halloween-costumes.html
September 30, 2010. I'm not much of a sewer and we don't really get into Halloween, but here are some ideas (via Parenting.com's weekly newsletter). Thought I'd do a quick search to find some more costumes. I was hoping for a little inspiration, however, the search " Homemade Halloween Costumes. Yields a really high proportion of rubbish websites, rubbish ideas and rubbish costume efforts. Here's the "best" of what I found. before I lost hope! The Disney Family Fun. My One Hundred: March 2013
http://myonehundredpieces.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 31, 2013. You know, you really should buy or borrow a copy of Nina’s actual book. There’s a lot more in it than just a list of stuff, and it’s not a challenging read at all. Go on You know you want to. Even if could still fit into those old concert t-shirts, I don’t think an over-priced thick jersey crew-neck tee from U2 or Aussie Crawl. Is going to either increase my (admittedly non-existent) street cred or make me feel more comfortable in the summer heat. And then I can move on. I’m...

The Weekly Olive: The 'holidays' are a coming!
http://weeklyolive.blogspot.com/2010/10/holidays-are-coming.html
October 7, 2010. The 'holidays' are a coming! Here's a tradition I'll probably miss about America, the department stores and their preparations for the Holidays. One of the most beautiful is the Christmas Book from Neiman Marcus. This year it is 50 years of the fantasy Christmas book for Neiman Marcus. It's filled with things you can't afford, don't need but want to admire and ogle none-the-less. It also has some pretty cute gift ideas that are surprisingly affordable. Thursday, October 07, 2010. The Weekly Olive: October 2010
http://weeklyolive.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
October 21, 2010. Craft and not the crap kind! A few weeks ago I made a 'car' for Little O out of a box, some ribbon, tape, a paper plate and some markers and crayons. The result was something she played with for a few days, and my so called "crap craft day". Obvious omissions from my car were the wheels, but Little O didn't care that Mummy forgot the wheels. A favourite blog (and email) of mine sent their birthday week 'top five'. Or maybe Grannie could turn these into Reindeer for Christmas? I haven't ...
