My Roots Run Deep: April 2012
http://myrootsrundeep.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
My Roots Run Deep. Friday, April 20, 2012. Three new daffodils are blooming but I don't know what they are. I planted 15 new daffodil bulbs last fall. 5 came in a bag labeled "Variant." 10 came in a bag labeled "Sorcerer." I thought I was planting two varieties of daffodil. Apparently not. Now that spring is here, there are three distinct daffodils in bloom. This small-cupped daffodil could be "Sorcerer." I found only one image of "Sorcerer" online and this comes pretty close. My Roots Run Deep: June 2011
http://myrootsrundeep.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
My Roots Run Deep. Tuesday, June 7, 2011. I am over the moon about my new Emile Debatene peony. Just a few days ago the buds looked ready to burst. I don't have much pink in my garden and thought I didn't care for the colour. But these blushing buds caught my eye repeatedly from the kitchen door and even the upstairs window and quickly began to win me over. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). North Toronto Horticultural Society. Weed it and Reap. Where I journal my adventures in the garden, in the greenhouse, and reflect on and appreciate God's generosity. Sunday, March 23, 2014. Or Plant Hardiness Zones. As I was going through my gardening books, I saw the Plant Hardiness Maps, and I recall that the Zone system for plants can be quite confusing for folks. The Plant Hardiness Zones are numbered from 1 to 9, where 1 is the coldest climate, and 9 being the warmest. This results in general areas. She was also fanatical about wateri...

Weed it and Reap. Where I journal my adventures in the garden, in the greenhouse, and reflect on and appreciate God's generosity. Saturday, March 23, 2013. We must really perplex God: he made us a perfect world and we have to change it. Imagine the conversation The Creator might have had with St. Francis on the subject of lawns. GOD: Frank, you know all about gardens and nature. What in the world is going on down there on the planet? ST FRANCIS: Apparently so, Lord. They go to great pains to grow it ...

So You Want to Start Your Own Plants from Seeds? This article was originally published in the newspaper in February. We are, in fact now very busy in the greenhouses.
