Dean Tracy: this one time, at sprint camp...
http://voodoomadness.blogspot.com/2010/09/this-one-time-at-sprint-camp.html
Sunday, September 19, 2010. This one time, at sprint camp. It's beyond difficult to watch the edited-for-TV version of Matrix Revolutions and still cobble together any coherent thoughts. Terrible dialogue, heavy religious undertones, flashing lights, those sunglasses! Can Not. Look. Away. Speaking of starts, mine haven't been quite what I wanted, but times are dropping every time I come out of the gate. Hearing Jamie say "those are fuckin' lightning, man! Commonwealth games start on October 4your time, s...

Dean Tracy: June 2011
http://voodoomadness.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 28, 2011. There's no time like the present, and I'm no good at intros, so let's get right to it. Pan Am Games was on balance a success. We were good enought to win, but came home with a silver medal in the team sprint. A bit dissapointing, but in the end the experience was invaluable. I'd rather not rehash it this far from the event, but if you'd like, you can read my "I'm an angry adolescent" rant at the. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blogs You Should Check Out Today. Dean Tracy: SixDays and FouteenDays
http://voodoomadness.blogspot.com/2010/01/sixdays-and-fouteendays.html
Friday, January 29, 2010. The six days for me ended and era. They ended the era where cycling occupied a place in my mind of an unattainable goal. Now I live in an era where cycling is a rockstar sport, and I can be on that stage with enough work. It's all worth it. The 6 hours of waiting are worth the moments like this. 10,000 people either willing you on or willing you to go down, and go down hard. Either way, that energy is palpable. It's all for the show. By the end of the six, we were the most v...

Dean Tracy: January 2011
http://voodoomadness.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 20, 2011. A wold cup, a sixday, a beer or two. These past few months have been busy to say the least, so let's jump right into the fray with no protection and little concern for our own well-being. Let's pick up the action in the city of Cali, en route to the plush Four Points hotel in a bus filled with World Cup riders and surrounded by assault-rifle equipped Colombian soldiers. Will he, Won't he? Sweet mother it's cold here in Holland. Will he be allowed? I am worried that I won't mak...

Dean Tracy: "go back to those gold soundz"
http://voodoomadness.blogspot.com/2010/03/go-back-to-those-good-sounds.html
Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Go back to those gold soundz". The drive was great, thanks for asking. America by car is a funny thing. It's like an informative speech that goes on too long, punctuated by little comedy intermissions called truck stops. You're always trying not to fall asleep, and during the comedy intermissions the jokes are bad, but entertaining. Headed west, at the speed of a bucking rental, plodding through the mountains. On my weekends, the morning starts like this and ends many miles later.

Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Never say that you are not all that tired when someone asks about your jet lag. As soon as you say "I feel fine," your body will decide it's actually 4 in the morning and you should go to sleep immediately. Coffee, coffee, drink some coffee and keep it on the level. The three-wide track stand is not an easy one to pull off. At least this time it wasn't me that screwed it up, and we held it through the picture. Chalk it up to day one. Nice 3 up Deano. Hows the 7 up in the ca...

Dean Tracy: a light, grungy snack
http://voodoomadness.blogspot.com/2010/06/light-grungy-snack.html
Monday, June 14, 2010. A light, grungy snack. I love grunge. I grew up with grunge. Even though it's re-hashed by guys now far removed from their 90's era lives, perspectives and income levels, I'm still waiting patiently for this:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dean Tracy: blind as a bat
http://voodoomadness.blogspot.com/2011/03/blind-as-bat.html
Monday, March 28, 2011. Blind as a bat. 37,000 feet over the Atlantic, ripping along at 630 miles per hour in an aluminum can with wings I had a strange thought. This thought was really just my brain confirming something I had suspected for a few weeks. A sort of weird reality sinking in. All this, it's something I wanted since I was a teenager and it's not a dream anymore. And it is absolutely terrifying. All you can do is think about what's next. For me that's Pan Am Championships in Medellin, Colu...
