We'll be paddling one thousand six hundred miles! Leg 1: Lusaka - Source - Border. This one's a lot of work for the support crew. To start it off we'll throw the boats on the roof of the Land Rover and drive 950km from Lusaka to Mwinilunga, where we'll spend the first of many nights in our tent. Our first day in the boat! Leg 2: Angola, border to border. Leg 3: Angola - Barotseland. Leg 4: The Barotse Floodplain. I'll be updating this as our planning continues, and our research goes further.

Thursday, March 7, 2013. Neither of us can remember how, or exactly when. But at some point during the past two months we decided that it would be a good idea to kayak the entire length of the Zambezi River. We've since come to the conclusion that this was a rather terrible idea. So we decided to do it anyway, but in a thing called a 'duckie'. Which is a little inflatable boat.
