The African white-backed vulture is the most common vulture in Southern Africa. This vulture is dependant on smaller vultures to lead it to a kill. Once it lands at a kill its black and white plumage makes it readily visible to other vultures. In this way many birds can feed as a collective and makes it much easier than a single bird looking for a meal over a large area. The vulture would eat any car ion.
