This last weekend, we had a bit of a hurricane, Irene. Minimal actual damage (at least, here), but it got people spun up far in excess of its result. So, the point of all these Mother Nature stories? I'm not entirely sure, but it has made for an interesting (and somewhat hectic) two weeks. I'm hoping this coming week won't be nearly as hectic, but if it is, I'm ready for it. You Know You're Tired When. You know you're tired when your air conditioner turns on in the middle of the night, and you spend 30 seconds trying to turn it off before you realize, it's not the air conditioner, that's your alarm going off, and it's time to get up. April means a lot of things, so since it's half over, I thought I'd share a few. For a start, April means General Conference. I've got no comments about this past Conference, except I'm grateful my cable company carries it, and if you missed it, you missed out. Associated with Conference are stories in various media about the Church, and Utah in general. Here's one, from the SL Tribune. This one is a new video to an old song. It's about a guy who has trouble paying with a $2 bill at a fast-food place.

Saturday, May 17, 2008. Here is a picture of a view we saw while on the hike. We passed fields of sagebrush, and little yellow flowers Debbie told us were cowslips. There are some other tiny little blue flowers as well, may have been bluebells. Here is a picture of the tree. Here are some pictures of us at the tree. If you look closely at some of the branches, you can see how gnarly and twisted they are. It was quite a sight to see. So that was our adventure for the day! Saturday, May 10, 2008.

Wednesday, October 31, 2007. My costume was so masterful nobody at the carnival guessed who I was unless I told them. I should have won a prize for most unrecognizable! My nose also honked when I squeezed it, so sometimes I wouldn't talk and would just honk the nose. So then, what to do for Tom? I looked online for some easy costumes and found one that earned him a prize! So here is Tom's head presented on a silver platter. His prize won Most Creative. Those are great costumes!
