Tom Double Tough in America. Being in California for a month on a business trip I got the chance for some days off. Having only 16 days, no proper outdoor equipment and a really ugly, rental car I haven t expected a lot, just some sightseeing and some days at the beach. At the end it turned out to become one of the most exhausting, exciting and fascinating trips I ever did. Problems to mention :. 1 Drinking beer in public. 2 Loitering in a public park. That it is supposed to be one of the best mid-size off road trucks I decided to go to North Africa for two months. Due to the political situation, there are not many countries left for travelling. Libya and Tunisia seemed to be countries with an acceptable low risk, offering plenty promising off road tracks. Part 1 : From Germany to Tunisia. Part 4 : Tunisia 2nd time.

It was quite clear to me that i had to go there one day. So i left one early morning beginning of May 96 with my old Volvo. Part 0 : The long way to the Middle East. Part 1 : North Israel. Suzuki DR750 BIG on Romo. After selling my Mercedes truck I suddenly realized that my life is too boring without anything to repair. So I bought an old Suzuki DR750 BIG. I have not bought this bike because I am convinced of it s qualities, but because a friend of mine sold it cheaply and it seemed to be some fun to get it going again. Due to the poor resolution of the digi cam the bike looks fairly good. Only 3 days later it s looks more like crap :-). What a nice old Landy. Back to Tosh`s homepage.
