Especially Blessed: November 2008
http://cwrizzle.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Rambling comments on my Christianity, the Washington Redskins, Richmond, VA, and special needs kids.not necessarily in that order. Friday, November 7, 2008. Do You Consider Yourself A Good Person? Seriously.Do you consider yourself a good person? Everyone I've asked this question says yes. Which is interesting. Are we good? To what standard are we judging ourselves when we call ourselves good? Is it by the list of good deeds that we do? Is it by what the world considers to be a good person? If the judge ...

The Chameleon: Plugged into Peace
http://intransition2.blogspot.com/2008/01/plugged-into-peace.html
Monday, January 28, 2008. I am (or used to be) someone who had to have the radio on while driving. Lately I've been trying to change that. [ Note: if this post sounds fragmented and unorganized it is due to my little brother yelling into a microphone and my parents arguing loudly in the next room]. Often, I find nothing, and that is when I turn off the radio. That is when I notice the quietness that fills the car and realize that this is an awesome time to talk to God. The Chameleon: You may know this already, but I sure didn't until just recently
http://intransition2.blogspot.com/2008/01/you-may-know-this-already-but-i-sure.html
Sunday, January 20, 2008. You may know this already, but I sure didn't until just recently. So I was reading a historical novel that takes place sometime in first century A.D. when I stumbled across a hypocrite. Now, this is the second time I have read this book so I don't know why I never gave much thought to it until now. The character in this book was, by title, a hypocrite. When I read that I thought, What? He thinks he is better than everyone? He doesn't practice what he preaches? But we do see it i...

inarticulate speech of the heart: June 2013
http://bornbeforethewind.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Inarticulate speech of the heart. A few year ago, I had a relative post the following quote as her Facebook status:. Choose your attitude each day, own it, and don't let others determine your happiness. As soon as I read it, I knew that I needed to believe it, to own it, to reflect on it, and to make it a part of my life. For a few years, I tried to make it my first thought when I woke up for the day. When I lived alone, I had it written everywhere. Somewhere along the lines I forgot about it. View my co...

inarticulate speech of the heart: February 2011
http://bornbeforethewind.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Inarticulate speech of the heart. Maybe this will help me start blogging again. 1 I am the mother of a precious little banana bug, Anna Jane. 2 I am married to a goofiest goofster, Drew, who I love dearly. 3 If I have one current regret in life it's having a college degree from the wonderful, Huntington University, and not using it. Looking to change that. 4 I slept with a teddy bear until I got married. 5 A box of Kraft Mac and Cheese and a giant glass of 2% milk are about all it takes to make me happy.

Inarticulate speech of the heart. So I could give her credit for this idea but no such luck. Anyway, this wise woman suggested making a tangible. List of daily, monthly, and yearly goals that could be crossed off when completed. Without receiving a pay check for my work, I can, at the very least, look at said list with all of it's glorious strike-throughs and say, "yeah, I completed all of those things WITH a baby on my hip and a toddler screaming on the floor.". Then, don't get the job? Teach Anna to hug.

Re-learning life one post at a time. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. I'm tired, mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Lately, life has been getting to me. I'm currently at a place where I'm set to graduate in December, but I'm not sure how I'm going to pay for my final semester of college. I've also got a class to retake this Summer.
