Friday, January 17, 2014. A small aside - why hello! I've just had a slightly difficult year with some behavior kids… They have been zapping my blogging energy, so when I get home, I'd rather not think about their issues anymore than I usually do! While I was sleeping, the canvas of the city got a fresh coat of white paint. It has been a long winter and it is only February first. I feel like Phil in Groundhogs Day. Abnormaldiversity: Why the Free Market Economy Does Not Serve the Consumers - One Example
http://abnormaldiversity.blogspot.com/2015/04/why-free-market-economy-does-not-serve.html
Friday, April 24, 2015. Why the Free Market Economy Does Not Serve the Consumers - One Example. I've heard a lot of people talk about how, if we leave the market free and let companies compete for profits without any regulations, consumer choice will lead to the best products succeeding over their competitors. This idea has always seemed incredibly naive to me, given how many real-life examples there are of the free market economy screwing over the consumers in so many different ways. 1st year - 1,000 so...

made by J: Outside my comfort zone ...
http://doobee64.blogspot.com/2013/12/outside-my-comfort-zone.html
A running account of all tears and frustrations that lead to my successes. I just can't ever remember a time not sewing, or looking, or stashing. So, I'll show you mine if you show me yours! Make a Garment A Month . Saturday, 28 December 2013. Outside my comfort zone . I've joined a GYM. Why can't extreme all night sewing, hardcore blogging or marathon knitting be enough for me to stay in reasonable shape? It was like WOW. Is that my stomach or the fabric doing that (and I can't always blame the pattern?

Life's all about 'eventually'. Monday, July 27, 2015. I just turned 28 a couple of days ago. It's been 4 years since I graduated. And I'll be hitting the big 3 in 2 years. Hope I'll still continue to feel "young"! Anyway, didn't do much of a celebration this year. Not a fan of birthday celebrations. But a group of my boaters actually gave me a surprise dinner last Friday! I initially thought it would be a random dinner with our small group of about 5-6 since we haven't met up for quite some time. On anot...

http://wheretheorchidsgrow.blogspot.com/2014/08/summer-skirts.html
Tutorials and free patterns. Monday, 4 August 2014. With the summer holidays in full flow I have only little time left for sewing. So I decided to whip up a few quick and easy summer skirts. I used the circle skirt app. From By Hand London to calculate my waist radius and adjusted the length of each skirt to my own preference. First up a 1/2 circle skirt using a left over piece of jersey from my Elisalex dress. Hope you are all enjoying a lovely summer! Geplaatst door {Leila}Where the Orchids Grow. Siga-...

Nightsky: Hoarding?
http://nightskyandprairiewind.blogspot.com/2015/02/hoarding.html
Monday, February 23, 2015. No worry, you can use it as a dog food dish. Maybe it's part of my hippie back-to-the-land reduce-reuse-recycle attitude. Whatever you do, clean your plate and don't waste food! Just because you see an ad for it on television or in a magazine doesn't mean you will be less of a person if you don't go out and mortgage your soul to buy one. That the land is kept in the family? That someone in the future holds on to these small mementos and trinkets from another person's life?
