Sunday, September 17, 2006. Subject: Urgent hard disk crisis! Posted on: 16-Sep-06 17:21. I accidentally used a raw floppy copy program and raw copied a floppy onto my hard disk, and it has re-written the hard disk binary and it thinks its a floppy disk as it says it as 1430 something KB etc. is there any fix for this? Friday, July 28, 2006. You aren’t sure whether you should be doing backups? A computer is the metal/plastic device itself PLUS the data recorded on the hard drives. If you are responsible for a computer then you are responsible for both the box AND the data content. If you think that you aren’t responsible, then I challenge you, right now, to reformat the hard drive, as if you’ve just had the computer stolen, and sit back and wait for the recovery process to start. With the mouse pointer on the yellow folder icon alongside a file in Windows Explorer, and still grasping the mouse, tap the left-button of the mouse twice, as quickly as you can. The document or workbook should open as if you had opened its application and then chosen File, Open from the application menu. You can of course, double-click on an application file in Windows Explorer.
