Diary of trivia from May 'til October. Thursday, September 10, 2009. To celebrate the addition of the new cool pool, the owners of the park, the McDonalds, put on a BBQ lunch. Marion (who runs the kiosk) and her daughters Lindy and Tracey and Angela McDonald were the cooks. Countless sausages and onions and delicious rolls filled the air with that mouth watering BBQ smell. It was held on a balmy, 20C day, at the old BBQ area at the front of the pool complex. From left, Marion, Angela and Tracey.

The hottest one, 39C, still remains but the other two pools have gone to 35 and 36. I'm so happy! I love wearing a track between the hottest and coldest pools. Since then, he has been running around like a chook with his head cut off! He brought Betty home from hospital last Monday and she has done very well. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. I don't know what we've left behind - - we shovelled in the last few things without looking! Steve was coughing his head off and I was snorting, gurgling and felt about to breathe my last. We, along with our Tasmanian friend, Sue, all caught a rotten cold at the same time. Richard missed out. For those who haven't heard my story - - my Dad said that we had colds. He is totally to blame (or thank) for my kids never having the flu! Monday, November 8, 2010. Carla van den Berg Lamers. 17111950 - 4.11.2010. Carla passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. Her indomitable spirit kept her going through the last 3 years of numerous operations, chemo and radiotherapy. She continued with her painting and travelled extensively during the last year, through Eastern Europe, Canada and Australia. I will sorely miss her sharp mind and our regular communication. 2008 Please Travel With Me.

Monday, May 24, 2010. Steve was back here again by 10am today. That's 50 hours since he left here, including 28 hours of train travel. Saturday, August 21, 2010. Voting day. We voted yesterday at a pre-poll place. Pardon my ignorance but I had never heard of these before this week. When did they come in? If everyone could vote over a week, the counting would be easy and we could have one less week of campaigning. NO! They would add on a week!
