Please Travel With Me: Weekend
http://lauriejenk.blogspot.com/2008/10/weekend.html
Please Travel With Me. First trip in the new 5th wheeler. Friday, October 31, 2008. The 37C pool has been changed to a cool pool. The hottest one, 39C, still remains but the other two pools have gone to 35 and 36. I'm so happy! I love wearing a track between the hottest and coldest pools. I walk a few laps in each then plunge into the other one. So exhilarating! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Laurie)Lorraine Hill, married to Jim Baxter(dec). 3 great kids, 7 fantastic Grandkids. Laurie's 2009 Trip: Friday, September 18, 2009
http://2009laurietrip.blogspot.com/2009_09_18_archive.html
Diary of trivia from May 'til October. Friday, September 18, 2009. Tom kept repeating, "Thursday, 11 o'clock." Ah, he wants me to come in on Thursday and he'll have the baby there at 11am, I thought. He handed me a piece of paper and a pen and asked me to write . what? So I wrote my mobile phone number. Although I couldn't see why he would want that! At that point, Steve left, believing that he understood all that was happening! Tom made it clear that the phone number wasn't what he wanted. Inexplicably,...

Laurie's 2009 Trip: The Healing Waters Festival
http://2009laurietrip.blogspot.com/2009/09/healing-waters-festival.html
Diary of trivia from May 'til October. Monday, September 28, 2009. The Healing Waters Festival. When I woke just before dawn, I could smell dust, so I hurried around to shut all windows. Dawn broke but the butcher birds were silent, as they were on Tuesday during the dust storm. We were enveloped in the orange-brown cloud again but not as thick as last time. I smiled to myself when I thought about all the cars that had been washed during the week! We had decided not to wash the truck! The Rodeo commenced...

Laurie's 2009 Trip: Sunday, October 04, 2009
http://2009laurietrip.blogspot.com/2009_10_04_archive.html
Diary of trivia from May 'til October. Sunday, October 4, 2009. The October Long Weekend. For nearly 2 weeks, the TV and radio announcers have been telling us that the October Long Weekend is coming up. So here we are now - - the Sunday of the October Long Weekend. A few years ago, we heard the announcements and wondered what was the reason for this long weekend. We asked around and no one could tell us. We asked the librarians and they didn't know. We asked various shopkeepers and they were blank. NSW -...

Laurie's 2009 Trip: Packing Up
http://2009laurietrip.blogspot.com/2009/10/packing-up.html
Diary of trivia from May 'til October. Thursday, October 15, 2009. Our plan was to leave Moree on Friday, tomorrow. Then the big winds started. Gusting at 60kph, they would not make good towing conditions. The weather forecast shows that they are likely to subside on Sunday, so this is now our estimated day of departure. So, out came the saw! There were nice "surprises" under the bed - - presents I bought months ago and had forgotten about. The bulk of my Christmas shopping is now done. Lindy planned to ...

Laurie's 2009 Trip: Leaving
http://2009laurietrip.blogspot.com/2009/10/leaving.html
Diary of trivia from May 'til October. Monday, October 19, 2009. It's 9am Monday and after I make this post, Steve will pack away the satellite dish. There will be no more internet for a while. Everything is organised and in its place, apart from the washing machine. We were going to leave it here but Steve got superstitious at the last minute. He felt that if we left it here, our machine at home would break down as soon as we got back! And so, off we go. The only good thing about leaving Moree is th...

Please Travel With Me: September 2008
http://lauriejenk.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Please Travel With Me. First trip in the new 5th wheeler. Monday, September 22, 2008. Life's Longing For Itself. It amazes me that we settle down here so quickly. Six weeks have passed and it feels like months. I know that we will return home and settle back there equally as quickly. It's wonderful to have two places where we feel comfortable. The major difference here, is being so far away from family and missing them very much. Thank goodness for technology! A collage of the flowers that have bloomed.

Please Travel With Me: November 2008
http://lauriejenk.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Please Travel With Me. First trip in the new 5th wheeler. Friday, November 28, 2008. Change one letter at a time to make a new word - - - BLOG, FLOG, FLOP. In future, I'll have to flog my blog so that it won't flop! The irritating fact of the matter is that I was so unwell during our time away that I didn't have the energy to do anything, much less to keep up a blog. Oh well. We figured that I might as well feel bad near the pools, as at home. Friday, November 7, 2008. A visitor arrived in with Steve thi...
