The Canyon… | 3monthsinalice
https://3monthsinalice.wordpress.com/2011/06/27/the-canyon
Just another WordPress.com site. Our walk around Uluru put us a bit behind in our schedule for driving to Kings Canyon, leaving us departing the rock at about 5pm. Not really a good thing to be driving at that time in the middle of Australia… but we didn’t really leave ourselves with much choice! Such a strange sight! After turning off to Kings Canyon we got our second proof of the mouse plague in Central Australia. They were everywhere! Luckily he didn’t spot Saxon! After a good nights sleep in a fabulo...

Just another WordPress.com site. And so the countdown begins… 10 days to go in sunny Alice Springs! I must admit, although I am longing to get home again, I am slightly sad to leave this little town! Its grown on me quite a lot since we’ve been here, of course it always makes it worse when you’ve met some lovely people in a place too! Saxon and I might head off to a few places during the day though so that Luke can sleep, I feel like we need some sort of last adventure while we’re here! So the last few w...

Just another WordPress.com site. Mum’s the word…. Vivid ColoursThey grow the trees large around here! So I finally decided to get into the arts scene in Alice Springs this week with a one night crash course in Screen Printing. It took me 3 hours but I finally made a Little Monster T-shirt for Saxon! I can now go and use their screen printing room for a small fee so will be attempting to make all the orders that came my way over the next couple of months! First stop was The Ochre Pits, the colours of the ...

Just another WordPress.com site. The last few adventures…. On Sunday Saxon and I decided to start our last few adventures with another quick trip to the West MacDonnell Ranges. Standley Chasm was first on the list, a privately run part of the Ranges, just outside the national park. The only place that we’ve had to pay an entry fee for however you never ever know if you never ever go… right? And a 2 metre long handrail at one point, nevertheless the chasm at the end of the short walk was quite stunning!

Glitter Is My Favourite Colour. A Bit About Me…. The perils of not listening when spoken to – putting the ‘try’ into triathlon. February 10, 2015. February 10, 2015. Glitter Is My Favourite Colour. I am not entirely sure how it happened, but in a few short days four, to be exact I will be lining up at the start of a triathlon. And then, in theory at least, I shall be ‘go-ing’ after the official ‘ReadySet.’ is hollered. We have of course had more than our fair share of ‘incidences’. Each o...Is awesome, a...

Three months in America
Three months in America. Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Highway One to San Francisco. Despite ongoing military action in the Middle East and the crescendo of a landmark presidential election, one issue above all else was all consuming for Americans this summer. In the land were car is king, escalating oil prices doggedly dominated the news, consistently dishing out distress to the gas guzzling public. That is until you hit Highway One at least. Upon leaving a rather macabre fog-filled San Simeon, we were qu...

Three Months in Brazil
Three Months in Brazil. Sunday, December 13, 2009. He was drop-dead gorgeous and incredibly sexy in the way he carried himself. I was surprised when he asked me out. When he kissed me on the dance floor it was like a scene in a bad romantic comedy - I forgot about my mojito and slowly spilled the entire contents on the floor. I knew I was signing up for trouble since I wasn't staying, and I didn't care. It was worth it. I still keep in touch with a few friends from Brazil. Luana, Bibiana, Ricardo....
3 months in England - Tandy Graham/photos by John Graham
3 months in England - Tandy Graham/photos by John Graham. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Last day in London - first day home! When I left you last, we were on our way out the door for our last day in London. Ellen and Philip had already left to go to the Victoria and Albert Museum to see the exhibit on quilting that I told her about when I went in June sometime - or was it May? I'll have to read my own blogs to figure that one out! Got home and finished packing. I had asked Ellen and Philip to bring one o...
