3 months in the promised land. Just another WordPress.com site. A few weeks ago i was invited to watch my cousin, Amir, perform an angioplasty. This is a heart surgery performed in order to open a blocked or narrow blood vessel. Very fine wires are used to access the heart, as well as using balloons and stents to widen the vessels and keep them open. It was an amazing opportunity that o had really been looking forward to. The first operation was an emergency case, the patient had just had a heart attack.
