The first time you get wet, or cold or something fails you begin to look for a solution to the problem, sometimes it’s technique but usually it leads to better equipment. My ties to the equipment industry go somewhat deeper. I don’t have every piece of gear I have ever used but I do have a lot still hanging around. Big Bend National Park.
