The looks on my kid's faces assure me it is. He was MORTIFIED at the thought of any of his friends seeing me WASTE my time with such frivolity. Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Many times my kids have asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I replied with “a mom.” They always say “what else”? It’s true. The only thing I really wanted to be when I ‘grew up’ was a mom. As I look back I wish I would have prepared for that momentous job a little more. I remember thinking it would be no big deal as I was the second child of 7, did a lot of babysitting in the neighborhood etc. How hard could it be? I also knew that I would be that really cool mom too.
