http://kindergartenatthekitchentable.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 13, 2012. Well not stolen from me they did ask me if they could take some pictures. Garrett and Olivia hijacked my camera and took a few shots - 75 to be exact! So before I delete them, I thought I'd post them so you could have a glimpse into the minds of a 5 and 6 year old and what's important to them to capture in a picture. Of course Curious George made the cut:. The State quarter collection:. A little abstract art:. So there you have it - my little photographers! Coming up for air!

Livy went into the "big" (walking) toddlers class and is going to enjoy it much more I hope. We will find out tomorrow! Next year we will bake a cake on Jesus' birthday. Livy loved this as well! We pla...

The Brooks Buzz: Double the Fun at a Double Birthday
http://kindergartenatthekitchentable.blogspot.com/2012/12/double-fun-at-double-birthday.html
Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Double the Fun at a Double Birthday. Ever since our kids stepped into Sports Connection, they have BEGGED to have a party there. This year we decided was the year to have a joint party. Each of them invited a few friends and we had a blast. The boys played Laser Tag - although I didn't get a single shot of this - too dark and way to many crazy boys running around in there. They rode the bumper cars. And played lots and lots of games. And smiled and giggled. Coming up for air!

The Brooks Buzz: Funny Things Kids Say . . .
http://kindergartenatthekitchentable.blogspot.com/p/funny-things-kids-say.html
Funny Things Kids Say . . . Ok - so you all know the feeling everytime a child says something funny or out of context or you just plain wonder - how do they remember that? And you say to yourself, I should write that down - well here's me "writing it down" for our memories and for you to enjoy. Garrett (8/13/10 Age 4). After showing Garrett pictures of the cruise ship that I'm going on with Nana. He said, "so you're taking a romantic trip with Nana? I think he's seen a cruise commercial. I'm saying up fr...

Monday, August 27, 2012. Well It has happened my baby girl has started Kindergarten - sniff, sniff. She went in all smiles to her new class and was greeted by a very sweet teacher! Olivia described her as "very pretty" and "has a nice voice". Two pluses in my book :) A veteran Kindergartener teacher of 20 years! Olivia went right to her table to pose for me - then quickly got up to play with her two new girl friends in the class. And now . . . She's all grown up! Sunday, August 26, 2012. The kids had the...

The Brooks Buzz: November 2012

Friday, November 30, 2012. Olivia turned 6. She was all smiles as we finally got to paint the school rock for HER birthday! She requested pink and purple (of course). I think it turned out pretty cute. She's getting bigger and bigger by the minute. Happy and healthy Kindergartener. Happy Birthday Olivia Joy! Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Boys Night - Checkers Game. Since the NHL is still on a lockout, there were 4-5 pro players playing on the Checkers team, so the game was like watching an NHL game!

The Brooks Buzz: March 2012
http://kindergartenatthekitchentable.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 23, 2012. That has a nice ring to it. Glasses for Garrett. Glasses for Garrett. I. Know that's what Garrett has been thinking ever since his sister, Olivia, came home with her cute purple glasses. We brushed it off because we hadn't noticed any problems with his eyes and he'd never been diagnosed with an astigmatism - which was most of Olivia's issue. Garrett's answer - "Looks like a car to me". Several more screens up and stumbling and guessing on letters. Several notes made when she d...

The Brooks Buzz: October 2012

Sunday, October 21, 2012. To the Beach. We had a little time before we could check-in to our condo, so we headed to the new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. It was a long walk from where we parked, but we finally made it to the food and arcade games. Olivia and I played some good 'ole fashioned Skee Ball. The boys went right towards old school Galaga. I spy the ocean. The water was perfect for another fun time of Boogie boarding. And a beach trip wouldn't be complete without. Several trips to Krispy Kreme. Olivia...
