Wednesday, August 25, 2004. I could not bring myself to support this and have proposed that the Council temporarily increases its own tax by the same amount to avoid re-billing and then pays back the 110,000 to taxpayers in next year's demand. This way we have to wait six months to receive our 3 but will save 50,000. The meeting agreed to defer a decision to allow officers to look at the idea in more detail.
