Missy Ava. Katelyn. Paul}. Wednesday, May 9, 2012. My 5 year old. I can't believe my little Ava is 5! Being 5 is a BIG deal. It means:. Staying up until 8:30pm (instead of 8pm). Ava totally has BIEBER FEVER! Ava is such a sweet girl. She is always helping her sister (sometimes to much), she helps me around the house, she LOVES books, and of course she loves to color. Writers of Rohan: Well, That Was Traumatic

Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Well, That Was Traumatic. It started with a cat. We’ve been having some pretty nice spring weather lately; on Wednesday afternoon, Timothy decided to go out on the deck after school and enjoy some sunshine. What he didn’t plan on was a cat that knocked the dowel back into the sliding glass door track, effectively locking him outside. He replied, “Good. You can take Sarah to the E.R.”. We trundled off to the E.R. at around 7 pm They ...Sarah...

Writers of Rohan: January 2015
http://www.jaredandmary.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, January 18, 2015. Here is part two of our Christmas day. We spent the day with the Lawrence family, and enjoyed the new remodeling of Richard and Suzanne’s home in Brigham City. Fortunately the weather was wet, but not too bad on the drive. We chatted and played some before dinner. And we all fit in the dining room, if only barely. After dinner, many of the grandkids went outside to play in the snow, of which there was plenty. And some other moments. She w...

Writers of Rohan: November 2014
http://www.jaredandmary.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, November 30, 2014. I’ll preface this by saying that this happened at the beginning of September. (But it resembles my life today with some similarities, but more on that later.). And that’s when I found his head wound. And the blood on the floor and her bed. His head was tender for a few days, but he is just fine. I can see a little spot on his head where the scab was and where there isn’t as much hair, but that is all that remains. 8221; (a slightly modif...

Writers of Rohan: The Little Things
http://www.jaredandmary.com/2015/06/the-little-things.html
Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Really, it is the little things that make one happy, and in this instance, it was the little things that drove me crazy. This is how my pantry was set up when we moved in. (Minus a few more layers of that floral covering stuff that was on all the shelves at one point. I may have ripped some of it off.). Jared looked at the shelves, did some planning and measurements, and came up with an alternative. If you look closely, you can see that s...

Prentis Family: July 2011
http://prentisfamily.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Missy Ava. Katelyn. Paul}. Sunday, July 10, 2011. So what I have learned in the last several months is that if you blink, time will fly by! My little babies are growing up so fast. I wish kids came with a remote controller, so I could put them in slow motion.and maybe use the mute button every once in awhile. In May, Paul and I took the girls and we met my brother and his family in Colorado for a mini vacation. Boy was that an adventure! We all had a great time. Ava and her cousin Austin}.

Musings of an old man: February 2010
http://ralawrence.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Musings of an old man. Thoughts on life and living from down the road a ways. Monday, February 15, 2010. Things I hope you will teach my grandchildren. It is interesting that the style of writing is reminiscent of the Book of Mormon. The long complex sentences being one of the things that make it difficult to read. This was written in the mid to late 1700s not many years before Joseph Smith was born and the prevailing style of writing was probably very similar in Joseph Smiths day. Links to this post.
