Last night i woke up to an angry voice. he was cussing. a lot. of course this meant i had to wake up ryan. we lay there listening to it for awhile before i got up and opened the window. then i heard it was two people. ryan whispered, “what are you doing? I said, “i’m going to say, ‘excuse me, but we can hear every word you’re saying.”. This is what i’d heard:. Walk the over to me!

Tuesday, May 12, 2015. My take: I was quite surprised by the almost flippant tone of the opening of this novel. It seemed light, superficial almost. Fluffy? Then each of the main characters began to reveal a bit of her real story. And then the easy breezy tone contrasted with the traumatic events in these women's lives and helped to soften the blows. My source: Suggested by daughter Anne after I enjoyed What Alice Forgot. My verdict: good read; worth a read. Lee @ abookchick.com. Saturday, March 28, 2015.
